Common Symptoms of a Motor Unit Problem

A faulty motor unit may cause your Dolphin robotic pool cleaner to:

• Start and then stop shortly afterwards
• Fail to move or drive around the pool
• Move intermittently
• Stop during its cleaning cycle
• Have difficulty climbing walls
• Display unusual drive behaviour
• Make abnormal noises from the motor or drive system

Important: These symptoms don't always mean the motor unit has failed. Worn or seized bearings, drive components, cable faults and power supply problems can produce similar symptoms. We recommend correctly diagnosing your cleaner before purchasing a replacement motor.
