These Maytronics Active Brush Holders are a common replacement part for Dolphin robotic pool cleaners, including the Dolphin M400, M500, M4, M5 and Trident Pro.

The active brush holder contains the bearing that supports the underside active scrubbing brush. This is one of the most common bearings to wear or seize on these Dolphin robotic pool cleaners.

Common Symptoms of a Failed Active Brush Bearing

A worn, damaged or seized brush holder bearing can cause your Dolphin pool cleaner to:

• Start normally and then stop shortly afterwards
• Run for only a few seconds before shutting down
• Have an underside brush that is difficult or impossible to turn
• Make unusual grinding or resistance noises
• Place additional load on the drive system and motor

If the bearing begins to seize, the cleaner detects the additional resistance and may stop shortly after starting.

We Recommend Replacing Both at the Same Time

This pack contains 2 active brush holders.

We strongly recommend replacing both brush holder bearings at the same time, even if only one appears to have failed. Both bearings have normally completed the same amount of work and have been exposed to the same pool chemicals, water and operating conditions.

Replacing only one worn bearing can result in the second bearing failing soon afterwards, requiring the cleaner to be dismantled again.
